Few have a résumé that can match Calvin Harris’s. The Scottish producer is the world’s highest paid DJ, rakes in awards seemingly effortlessly, and has a string of hits that rivals anyone in pop music. That being said, if the rumors are true, the producer will be adding another accomplishment to his CV: appearing on the UK’s The X Factor .

Upon first glance, the pairing of Harris and The X Factor seems like an obvious choice. However, the producer has had a longstanding feud with Simon Cowell following an incident in 2009 when he mocked the act Jedward. The two have since buried the hatchet and Harris is rumored to be in consideration to help mentor Nicole Scherzinger’s, of Pussycat Dolls fame, selections. Cowell is said to have made a “beeline” for Harris to obtain his participation.
