Dancing Astronaut’s Top Tracks of July

In terms of sheer star power, July may have been the most formidable month of 2016 yet. Not only did it bring about huge crossover collaborations like “Purple Lamborghini” from Skrillex and Rick Ross and “Cold Water” from Major Lazer and Justin Bieber, but we experienced the long-awaited return of Justice, who debuted the first single from their new album, “Safe and Sound.” Adding to the pop domination, Martin Garrix release his future bass-inspired hit “In The Name of Love” while The Chainsmokers skyrocketed to the top of the charts with their Halsey collaboration, “Closer.”

On the more underground tip, Hunter/Game remixed Booka Shade’s classic anthem “In White Rooms” for the 10-year anniversary of Movements, while Hot Since 82 unearthed his new Ibiza staple “Yourself.” Rising Mau5trap star brought along his new Bloom EP, while Lane 8 dropped a beautiful new single titled “Fingerprint.” Last and certainly not least, Zhu’s debut album Generationwhy finally received its official release.
