Hard Rock Cafe may also be liable for Steve Aoki’s neck-breaking stage dive

Back in 2012 during a show in San Diego, Steve Aoki did as he normally does: launch himself from the stage into the crowd for some good, old-fashioned crowd surfing, this time aiming for an inflatable pool. Tragically, attendee Brittany Hickman alleges that Aoki’s dive that night ended up breaking her neck, which left her in the hospital for several days and out of work for two months. Hickman has been suing Aoki for damages ever since.

The concert was held at a Hard Rock Cafe and now Hickman’s legal counsel, Jeremiah Lowe, claims that the venue inadequately prepared for Aoki’s antics. Lowe has since asked the jury to hold Hard Rock liable for any further medical costs for his client due to their alleged negligence.

If this weren’t already enough, Aoki is also being sued for injuries related to his habit of catapulting cakes into the crowd.
