One of London’s biggest clubs, Studio 338, destroyed in fire

Studio 338, described as an “ibiza-style mega-club” residing in Southeast London, caught fire Monday morning, leaving the nightclub in ruins. More than 100 firefighters were called to the scene as the fire spread to a neighboring recycling yard and industrial buildings.

According to the Evening Standard, the fire began inside of the club at around 11:45am before traveling elsewhere. One individual suffering from serious burns was also reportedly airlifted to a local hospital.

The 3,000 person cap venue, which was dubbed “London’s biggest club” upon opening in 2014, re-opened earlier this year after undergoing renovations, including a brand new steel and glass atrium and improvements to the venue’s sound quality.
