Skrillex previews new collaboration with Snails

Skrillex tapped Wiwek and Snails as the guest selectors on his most recent installment of OWSLA Radio. Both producers, known for championing their own distinct sounds, have caught Skrillex’s attention and have both become familiar collaborators with OWSLA’s head honcho. While Skrillex and Wiwek’s “Killa” has become one of the biggest bass tracks of the year, Sonny and Snails haven’t tag teamed a track since 2014’s “Holla Out,” which found the then up-and-coming French-Canadian producer pushing his famous “vomitstep” on Jack Ü‘s debut mixtape. Now it seems that the pair have a long-overdue collaboration in the works, debuting a first-listen over the Beats 1 airwaves.

The track is still nameless, but even without official credits, it’s an obvious blend of Skrillex and Snails’ signature sounds. Snails’ snarling bass synths gargle and sputter over Skrill’s punching drum arrangements, complementing each other’s styles on a rowdy new joint effort.
