Carl Cox will play on vinyl for the first time in a decade for his final Space Ibiza show

2016 is a bittersweet year in Ibiza’s history: not only is Carl Cox’s 15-year tenure at Space Ibiza coming to an end on September 20, but the super club itself will also shut its doors for the final time just a couple of weeks later. The beloved British veteran plans to mark the occasion with an equally momentous farewell set, in which he will be paying homage to his years at the club by performing an all-vinyl set.

“I thought it was a fitting way to say goodbye,” divulged Cox on his forthcoming set. “I also want people to know I can still DJ with vinyl and make the house rock. This music has been my life and I want to share it one last time at Space.” This will be the first time he’s played vinyl at Space since 2006, a full decade ago.

His tactic will be to play a wild set full of old and new gems that will reflect his long years at the club. “A lot of the crowd probably won’t have even heard them before, so it’s a way of showing the music is still relevant,” he elaborates. In addition to his extended vinyl set, Cox will be joined by tINI, DJ Sneak, Nic Fanciulli, and more for the final extravaganza.
