Josh Pan shares glossy new visuals for ‘Platinum’

There are dance music’s resident experimentalists; forward-thinkers like Mr. Carmack, Flying Lotus, and Aphex Twin holding down the ever-expanding boundaries of electronic music. Then, past the far edge, way out there in no man’s land, you have the emerging enigma of NYC-based producer Josh Pan. The OWSLA recruit is producing some of the most unique bass music out there right now, and his breakout offering alongside X&G, “Platinum,” has garnered ubiquitous support from Skrillex, among others, all year long. Now the track finally has the equally off-kilter visuals it deserves with the release of the Liam Underwood-directed official music video.

From props to principles, everything gets a platinum paint job in the new music video for Josh Pan’s primal jungle bass monster. “Platinum” is a strangely unabashed slice of pure chaos that makes you want to beat your chest along with it. Now, with a metallic music video to accompany the track, you can break out your spray paint and do just that.
