Skrillex formed his OWSLA imprint a half a decade ago behind the release of Porter Robinson‘s groundbreaking debut EP, Spitfire. Since then, the dance music landscape has changed immeasurably but Skrillex and OWSLA have maintained their position at the leading edge, continually pushing boundaries forward with the collective’s creative vision.
This past weekend, the group came together to celebrate OWSLA’s 5th birthday in Los Angeles with appearances by label regulars What So Not, Anna Lunoe, and Valentino Khan. Newcomers Oshi, Slushii, and Marshmello all joined in the festivities as well, with dance music’s favorite videographer Glen Jamn there to capture it all.
The celebration wouldn’t be complete without a heavy dose of DJing from the boss himself, either. Keeping the “good people, good times” mantra in full swing, Skrillex even sheds his famous black-on-black ensemble, donning a festive Hawaiian getup to mark the birthday occasion.
