Watch What So Not drop his forthcoming song with Skrillex and RL Grime [VIDEO]
On September 15, What So Not posted a picture to Instagram of himself and RL Grime in the studio, reporting that they had finished a collaboration, reprising their partnership that yielded 2014’s “Tell Me.” However, What So Not’s now sole proprietor Chris Emerson omitted a significant detail from his announcement: apparently Skrillex is also involved with the collaboration.
A video has surfaced on Skrillex‘s dedicated subreddit showing What So Not playing the unreleased collaboration during his show at Hollywood’s Fonda Theater on Saturday, September 17. Though one commenter notes on the Reddit thread that Skrillex had dropped out of the collaboration, Emerson introduces the track by saying, “This is a brand new one with RL and Skrill,” before launching into a frenzied, horn-focused trap release. No release date has been announced yet for the track, but it seems inevitable that the collaboration will be ubiquitous during the upcoming festival season of 2017.
