Worlds may have been released two years ago, but Porter Robinson is still immersed in the seemingly endless afterglow of his debut album. In fact, his new indie, eletropop direction has guided him into global superstardom as he tours around the world headlining shows of varying sizes.
The young producer recently stopped in New York over Labor Day Weekend for a slot at the 2016 edition of Electric Zoo. As per usual, fans got the opportunity to bask in Robinson’s adored singles in a captivating audio/visual environment. One could already tell they were in for a dreamy experience from the very beginning of the set, where signature anime-inspired LED feeds were accompanied a dramatic buildup to “Sad Machine.” As these things tend to go, one devoted fan has captured Porter’s full performance on video.
Porter Robinson is currently approaching the end of his summer North American tour, whereafter he’ll begin preparations for his next endeavor: a joint tour with Madeon in which they’ll share the stage during their live shows.
