“I’ve got all these pictures in my head” Patty Crash coos over a sea of down tempo 808s. Teaming up with Kronic, the young song siren’s latest collaboration “Pictures” is an homage to Australia’s electro-pop pioneers Sneak Sound System and their 2006 hit of the same name. The Iceland-born, Philly-raised newcomer may not be a household name yet, but her stirring rendition here has flashes of Macy Gray that are impossible to deny — a style that earned her a Grammy nod alongside The Roots. On the production end, Kronic is an LA transplant, originally from Australia, who broke through for his work on Lil Jon & Tyga’s “Bend Ova.” Since then his debut EP hit the top 5 in Australia and sat steadily at the top of the Beatport Hip Hop charts for 5 months. The chemistry between these two is impossible to deny and the end result is destined for repeat plays on sound systems in every hemisphere.

“Pictures” is the first release on Patty Crash’s upcoming EP, due out in early 2017.
