Jauz goes future bass on his remix of Passion Pit’s ‘Sleepyhead’

There’s a certain level of care that must be taken when remixing a class song. Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead” is one such example. Taken from the group’s debut studio EP, the track remains a favorite amongst the band’s cult-like following.

With such an ambitious feat before him, Jauz decided to keep the light-hearted feel of the original production and put a future bass spin to it. The result is a bouncy, uplifting track — not unlike the productions of his close friend Marshmello. Respect must be given to Sam for his dedication to the “F*ck Genres” narrative he has represented since the inception of the Jauz alias, with “Sleepyhead” marking the second track that avoids the “signature” Jauz style released in the last two weeks.
