Zeds Dead – DNA (ft. Jadakiss & Styles P)
From dubstep to house, Zeds Dead have produced it all, which is why it’s entirely surprising that they’re just now gearing up to release their debut album, titled Northern Lights. Ahead of its Thursday release, the duo share “DNA,” their collaboration with rappers Jadakiss and Styles P.
Zeds Dead try their hand at hip-hop production, peppering the track’s raw style with heavy dub influences. The song’s combative lyrics flow alongside a corresponding beat that’s fueled by ardent chords and daunting bass. “DNA” paints a darker side of the forthcoming feature, one that seems to completely contrast the other LP’s released singles with Twin Shadow, Pusha T, and Diplo, to name a few.
Northern Nights, out October 14, is shaping up to be a diverse offering with many guest collaborators, creating a huge milestone in the duo’s already robust career.
