DA Premiere: Kicks N Licks – Tribal feat. Adara

Bass duo Kicks N Licks have teamed up once again with vocalist Adara for their latest track “Tribal.” True to its title, the track opens with a reverb heavy intro before segueing into a tour de force of futuristic bass music.

Adara is provided a firm foundation with thumping kicks and frantic arpeggios before the producers ramp things up with increased percussion and more prominent synths. An energy-raising buildup, with the brief, clever deployment of a breakbeat, leads into a drop that repurposes Adara’s voice into a melodic lead all while featuring shimmering synths and an infectious hook. The track ends with an ecstatic finish, marking another successful collaborative venture between the trio.

Kicks N Licks said of the track: “Tribal is the second song we have done with Adara and it’s definitely not the last! The simple, uplifting melody along with Adara’s big, pop influenced vocals made ‘Tribal’ a really fun song for us to work on.”
