Dillon Francis is everywhere, from festival main stages to Taco Bell commercials. His bombastic beats and spastic production work continue to inch their way closer to the mainstream by the day, but his lesser known “underground” alter ego, DJ Hanzel, has proven to be a little more elusive. Appearances from the “one deeper” proponent are few and far between, though a few rare guest mixes and a handful of productions alongside tech-house wunderkind Drezo have kept the enigmatic Hanzel in high demand. Now, Dillon has announced DJ Hanzel’s first official headlining show, signaling that we might see his underground-leaning sensibilities show more in 2017.
DJ Hanzel will host his first headlining event at Exchange LA on December 22, 2016. The set comes a few months after Hanzel’s special back-to-back showcase with Drezo at the end of September from the Mixmag Lab. The upcoming Exchange show has Hanzel billed solo, but when Dillon breaks out his alter ego for a live performance, anything is bound to happen.
