Radiohead unearth two rare, unreleased tracks from 2009

Harry Patch, who was the last living survivor of trench warfare during the first World War, inspired Radiohead to pen a song around him which came to fruition shortly before his death during the Summer of 2009 under the title “Harry Patch (In Memory Of).” The group later wrote a follow-up to the single, “These Are My Twisted Words,” which features stark and dissonant guitar melodies that paint an equally haunting picture to the first single.

Fittingly, the band have now released both singles during Veteran’s Day weekend for the amount of one pound, in which all of the proceeds with go to The Royal British Legion.

The band recently released their ninth studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool. They’ve since accompanied the release with a world tour, which will continue into 2017 as the band headlines multiple festivals.
