French DJ and producer DJ Snake’s rise to fame has been nothing short of meteoric since his breakout singles, “Bird Machine,” and “Turn Down For What,” in 2013. A short three years later, and he has released his debut album, Encore, grabbing the #1 spot on the Billboard Digital Songs Chart for the first time — surprisingly — with his collaboration with rebounding pop star Justin Bieber, “Let Me Love You.”
Although the collaborative track did not receive an official release as a single, it now has an official music video. The story follows a male and female living out a Grand Theft Auto lifestyle, driving around in a 1960s Mustang robbing banks and other criminals, running from the police, and beating people up.
DJ Snake and Bieber are also pictured going from store to store clearing out the cash registers at gunpoint. Near the end, it is revealed how all of the characters are able to get away with all of this mischief, and an interesting question about self-identity is left for the audience to ponder.
