“Starboy,” the first single off The Weeknd’s upcoming LP of the same name, predictably became a pop sensation after its unveiling in September. The rare Daft Punk collaboration found the French duo crafting a smooth underlying track that complimented The Weeknd’s silky vocals and made for a palatable single.
After unleashing a psychedelic music video for the single, The Weeknd stopped by the annual MTV EMAs in The Netherlands to perform “Starboy” live. A lack of Daft Punk performing was hardly missed as the famed singer belted out lyrics accompanied by vibrant 3D dome visuals.
The two talents allegedly have another tune together awaiting release, according to a confession by The Weeknd in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal. Their follow-up to “Starboy” will be revealed along with the rest of The Weeknd’s album on November 25.
