Shortly after she unleashed a flaming mix on our Radar series, NYC bass marvel Callie Reiff decides to adhere to the giving season and release a new remix of Kayzo’s “Born Again” for free download. While her previous original releases on NEST and Fool’s Gold definitely hit harder, the 17-year-old talent has been experimenting in more melodic terrain recently, more specifically her remix of Sofi Tukker’s “Déjà Vu Affair.” For this “Born Again” flip, Reiff lays it heavy on the 808s under a glitchy weave of vocal chops and space-aged synths to create a sublime contrast.
