Few artists young or old had as momentous a rise in 2016 as Isabelle Rezazadeh. As REZZ, the Canadian wunderkind released two sensational EPs on mau5trap, crafted a number of expertly-woven mixes, and further expanded her ever-growing “Cult of REZZ.” Though the prodigious producer had already begun building her legacy prior to 2016, Rezazadeh’s accomplishments in the past year made her a shoe-in for our “Breakout Artist of the Year” award. Excitingly, REZZ has announced that she has a collaboration on the way with another rising new talent – the elusive k?d.
Though k?d launched his career just a year ago, the young artist has proven his talent and garnered a quickly growing fanbase through his skillfully-arranged future bass remixes of major artists’ hits, including Daft Punk and Panda Bear’s “Doing it Right” and Porter Robinson’s “Sad Machine.” So far, the only details the artists have given us is that the collaboration will be released in 2017.
