Development has begun on Tresor owner’s new techno club in Detroit

Three years after being purchased by real estate developer Fernando Palazuelo, development has finally begun to transform Detroit’s Packard Plant Project. Through a $350 million renovation, the former factory site will become a live-work complex that will include retail, offices, residential space, recreation and art, a spa, a hostel, and even a new techno nightclub, which Dimitri Hegemann — owner of Berlin’s iconic Tresor — will help oversee.

While the development team has finally broken ground, it will take ten to fifteen years to see the plans come to fruition. The Packard Plant Project confirmed the news with a new blog post.
