Peanut Butter Wolf memorializes artists that passed in 2016 with 3-part mix

California underground resident Peanut Butter Wolf has found a poignant way to honor the multitudes of musicians who passed away in 2016. The DJ has thoughtfully crafted a trilogy of mixes that run through the legacies of each late musician from the past year, acting as a musical eulogy of sorts. Each mix contains a variety of well known hits and deeper cuts from essentially every fallen artist, from Paul Kanter of Jefferson Airplane, to eclectic offerings from British producer Nigel Gray. In total, all three mixes equate to nearly three hours of listening time guaranteed to summon nostalgia around the music these legendary acts created, and bittersweet sentiments around each artist’s passing. Listen to the entire series below.
