Porter Robinson’s secret edit of The Weeknd’s ‘The Hills’ (RL Grime Remix) has been remade by a fan

One of the central features of Porter Robinson’s DJ sets are his creative edits, or unofficial remixes. Over the years, he’s developed a knack for reinterpreting timeless originals like Daft Punk’s “One More Time,” or even touching up full-on remixes by artists like Sakuraburst.

One of Porter’s most famous edits is his spin on RL Grime’s remix of The Weeknd’s “The Hills.” Robinson began playing the edit out in early 2016, quickly inciting fan hysteria.

While the edit appeared online in various forms in 2016, from recorded videos to stitched up audio edits, one YouTube user by the name of Red_ Hokkaido has now recreated Porter’s take on “The Hills” in full. What’s more, he’s created a full visual counterpart, which, as he notes in the title, should be viewed with caution.
