After reaching the 10-year career milestone in 2016, Bingo Players returns with the first new single in almost a year, excepting the 2016 remake of “Tom’s Diner.” In an era when producers often migrate to various subgenres of dance music such as tropical house and future bass, Maarten Hoogstraten of Bingo Players has decided to go old school, yielding some amazing results.
“Bust This” sticks to minimalist sounds, which make for addictive listening. Each of the house-inspired elements of the song stands out individually, including the expansive kick drum and vintage synths. The track’s standout component however, is its compelling bass-line, which provides the ideal backbone to this certifiably refreshing single.
