Launchpad: 10 trap and bass tracks to get you ready for the weekend

The Launchpad is a biweekly series showcasing hot new music hand selected by our staff. The tracks in these curated playlists come from both underground and mainstream artists that we love. If you’d like to see your music featured in the Launchpad, you can submit it for consideration here.

For the first installment of this week’s Launchpad we are packing a powerful punch of the hottest trap, dubstep, and drum and bass tracks out right now. This curation comes courtesy of the heavy-hitters we all know and love, as well as some of today’s rising stars.

Highlights:

British trap wunderkind Hucci has decided to celebrate his 21st birthday in style with the recent release of “Life.” Comprised of vocal samples from 50 Cent, a morose bass-line, and menacing hi-hat rolls, “Life” showcases the producer’s signature sound while also giving listeners a taste of what he has in store for the coming year.

One of our Artists to Watch for 2017, KRANE has given The Weeknd’s “Party Monster” a powerful bass-heavy spin, incorporating complex percussion sections and stadium-ready synth patterns with the familiar vocals of the original track. This remix stands tall as it gives listeners a haunting, yet angelic sonic experience.

Nights’ “Valentine” eloquently traverses through sexy vocals, a crunchy bassline, and punctuated drum samples. Despite Valentine’s Day being over, this track proves it’s longevity with it’s contemporary sound design and thoughtful arrangement.
