Selena Gomez may have an upcoming collaboration with Kygo
Selena Gomez registering a new song with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) is, in and of itself, not exactly noteworthy. One doesn’t become a massive pop star and the most followed individual on Instagram by accident, after all. What is interesting though, as pointed out by Twitter user @pollspollspolls, is the appearance of one Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll aka Kygo.

While this isn’t an official announcement that Gomez and Norway’s reigning prince of tropical house are working together, it seems unlikely that it is a fabrication. Further, given the titanic success electronic musicians and pop stars have had on crossover collaborations recently — think Justin Bieber‘s numerous dalliances with the likes of DJ Snake, Major Lazer, and Jack Ü — and her own history working with Zedd, the commercial success of Gomez’s vocals over top Kygo’s sun-dappled production is almost guaranteed.
