Zomboy – Lights Out (Ghastly Remix)

Nearly a calendar year after its release, the remixes for Zomboy‘s Neon Grave EP are finally here. Featuring the efforts of producers such as Kill The Noise and Rickyxsan, the EP’s opening track received a thorough, aggressive remix courtesy of California-transplant Ghastly.

Ghastly co-opts much of Zomboy’s original into his bass house rework, including the track’s intro. However, the remixer cleverly identified how wide open the original “Lights Out” was and took steps to fill it as much as possible. The track’s standout feature, besides an obvious tempo change, is the sheer amount of sounds and crushing synths the producer is able to fit into his rework.

Not content to use the same drop twice, the curveball, half-time finale, which somehow manages to up the energy from an already raucous track, is evidence of the skill and effort Ghastly put into this long-awaited remix.
