Adam Beyer releases collaborative ‘Capsule’ EP with Pig&Dan

A new Pig&Dan release is always cause for celebration for techno fans. The Spanish-based duo have been stalwart figures in the scene for quite some time, but the success of their single, “Growler,” on Solomun’s Diynamic imprint in 2016 catapulted the pair to new heights.

Pig&Dan’s newest release may be their most enticing yet. While the duo are no strangers to Drumcode (having released their Mexico EP on the Swedish imprint in June of 2016), Pig&Dan have struck techno gold by landing a collaborative EP with the Drumcode label-head himself, Adam Beyer.

Entitled Capsule, the four-track offering explores techno’s darker, cerebral side while also effectively utilizing progressive structures throughout areas of certain tracks. Each track of the EP sits firmly in the house arena in rhythmical terms, but Capsule deviates far from the tech house realm in terms of essence and execution.

From the quaking percussion and haunting vocals of the titular track, to the harrowing synths which progressively pervade “Atmosfear” – arguably the EP’s standout work – Beyer and Pig&Dan’s Capsule is one of the strongest techno releases at this point in 2017.

The EP is a Beatport Exclusive, but all of the tracks can be previewed below:
