Once a year, the dance music community flocks to Miami for one of the most significant gatherings in the industry: Miami Music Week. These are the seven exalted days that set the tone for the remainder of the year.
From pool parties, to techno cruises, and all-night club showcases, Miami Music Week offers a staggering amount of options for dance fans of any genre. As the venerated gathering approaches, we’ve broken down the must-see parties to help ease the decision-making process.
Tale of Us
Who: Tale of Us, Vaal

Why you should care: After last year’s hiatus from Miami Music Week, Tale of Us are slated to grace Trade with an aural experience that sets itself apart from the rest. Poised to set off South Beach with dark and enchanting house and techno, an intimate set from Carm and Matteo Milleri is a rarity and a true spectacle.
Corona Electric Beach presents: Chromeo

Do Not Sit in Wynwood

Why you should care: Following last year’s iteration of Do Not Sit By the Ocean, the praised South Beach club is heading to Wynwood for a fresh new take: Do Not Sit in Wynwood. Featuring a cutting-edge roster of house and techno titans like Atish, YokoO and head honcho Behrouz, Do Not Sit in Wynwood reigns supreme as one of this year’s more unique showcases.
Deadbeats Goes Off The Deep End

Why you should care: Bassheads may fall out of their chairs after seeing what Deadbeats Goes Off The Deep End has in store for their Miami showcase. Zeds Dead and Jauz have teamed up for a co-hosted event, offering up exclusive back-to-back sets between some of bass music’s top talent including both of the events’ hosts, Herobust, Troyboi, Ghastly, Mija, and more.

Why you should care: The best in bass music are shaking up Mana Garage. This is going to be a master class in heavy handed bass music from Slander, NGHTMRE, Ghastly and more. If there was a royal court of all things LA bass related, everyone on this lineup would be fighting for the throne. If you’re looking for some mayhem in Miami instead of bottle service clubs or techno marathons, than look no further than Gud Vibrations on Thursday.

PL0T's 10-Year Anniversary Series

Why you should care: Though not an official Miami Music Week party, PL0T’s 10-year anniversary is more than deserving of an honorable mention. Having largely shaped the city’s underground dance music scene, PL0T is bringing German duo Âme for their sole Miami appearance of the week – in addition to Marcus Worgul and Moscoman – so act quickly.

Paradise in Space

Why you should care: Jamie Jones is bringing a taste of Paradise back to Space for Miami Music Week this year, bringing along some high-profile colleagues for the affair which include Danny Tenaglia and Green Velvet. For seven hours straight, attendees can basque in the sunny, housey vibes that will be dominating the dance-floor.
Rapture Electronic Music Festival

Why you should care: Oliver Heldens will be bringing his unique brand of future house to The Delano on Thursday, March 23 for a casual, yet pumping daytime affair. Who better to join him than the jazzy house wizard Bakermat, Throttle, and more? Anyone choosing to attend this year’s party is guaranteed a music experience as hot as the weather outside.

Why you should care: Thomas Jack is moving away from tropical house and into a raunchier district of dance music more fit for a warehouse. It only makes sense that he’ll be hosting festivities into the early morning at the Bardot on March 24, where he’ll be joined by Jonas Rathsman, MK, and Lee Foss.

Why you should care: Brooklyn-based producer Zero is headed down south to bring its coveted event series to none other than South Beach. Founded upon the ideals of celebration and magic, Zero’s airy and ethereal qualities will lend themselves well to the Miami madness. With Rampue, Satori, Be Svendsen and Milo Hafliger at the helm, there’s no going wrong here.
Above & Beyond feat. Eric Prydz

Why you should care: The names that form the title of this party should be enough reason to go to this event. Given the utter euphoria Above & Beyond bring to each of their performances and Eric Prydz’ abilities of pulling at the heartstrings with his distinguished progressive sounds, seeing both of them plus Anjunadeep regulars Yotto and Eli & Fur will surely be a treat for the ears and heart.

Why you should care: As per usual, Pete Tong will be bringing his keen ear and party brand to Miami for another day of top-notch music. Why you should care: Armada will kick off Miami Music Week with the first-ever US installment of their ‘Armada Invites’ series. After starting off a recurring event in Armada Music’s in-office club in Amsterdam and reaching a huge audience with its live broadcasts on Facebook and YouTube, ‘Armada Invites’ has turned into a full-blown international event series. With ‘Armada Invites: MMW 2017’, Armada Music pushes the envelope by bringing together a gamut of top-tier artists, all of which are luminaries in their respective scenes. Buygore x Trippy Burger Showcase

Why you should care: Last year, the Buygore family took over The National in South Beach with their epic sold out pool party during the flagship Miami Winter Music Conference in March. This year, the face-melting bass squad will be returning to the Magic City with label heavyweight Getter and his brand/merchandise line ‘Trippy Burger’ in tow. In addition to sets from frontmen Borgore and Getter, the two imprints will be hosting throngs of cohorts to throw a one-of-a-kind rager with secret guests all night long.
