Munich’s newest techno club is in a museum

On April 22, Blitz will open its doors inside Munich’s largest museum, the Forum des Techniks. The brand new venue will add to the city’s techno club repertoire, and will fit 600 people across its dancefloor and adjoining restaurant.

Blitz will also be home to a custom sound system powered by VOID acoustics, guaranteeing a top notch sonic experience to revelers who will soon be able to experience nothing but pure techno played out by the club’s resident DJs Dave Muallem, the Zenker Brothers, Skee Mask, and Stenny. Muallem, who also helped found Blitz, advised the ultimate aim of the venue is to provide “a place of inclusion in a city where nightlife is mostly about exclusivity.”

If the club is a success, plans have also been disclosed to eventually expand into label territory as well.
