The third edition of deadmau5’s BBC residency might be the best one yet

Deadmau5’s BBC Radio 1 reign has thus far been off to a flying start. BBC’s decision to sign the extraordinarily talented, yet mercurial producer seemed like a bold move, and is one which has already started to pay dividends. The first two editions of Joel Zimmerman’s Radio One residency have been nothing short of spectacular, with droves of listeners tuning in to his monthly takeover.

The March edition of his residency doesn’t hold back either, as Joel has put out a spellbinding techno-driven mix that fires on all cylinders, filled with addictive beats and powerful bass lines. Deadmau5 has added some big names to his masterfully curated mix, such as Shiba San, Eelke Kleijn and some of his “mau5trap friends” in Attlas and No Mana, among others.

Deadmau5’s BBC Radio 1 residency had lofty expectations when first announced -expectations which Joel has managed to meet with ease. This serial mix shows no signs of slowing down in the future.
