Skepta raised £30,000 to help fight the issue of homelessness in London

British MC Joseph Junior Adenuga, better known as Skepta, played a special show last night inside the Islington assembly hall, where he raised an impressive £30,000 (approx. $37,450 USD) for Shelter alongside Shorty and A$AP Rocky.

Skepta addressed the crowd after being introduced by Idris Elba:

“We’re all here for a good cause and a good reason, and that’s to support Shelter to end homelessness….Thank you to everyone for being here. Every penny goes to a good cause. Tonight is about all of us being together. This is about us all giving back. Everyone should give back.”

In promoting the welfare of others, Skepta champions an important message that addresses the issue of homelessness through a sincere act of generosity that will help families obtain affordable housing. Those who have been previously helped by Shelter were granted free admission into the show, while tickets were sold for £40 (aprrox. $50 USD).
