The effervescent sound of Cazzette‘s music has always struck a resonant chord within the dance music community. While the Swedish pair’s legacy only spans a few years, the act has quickly become standouts, delivering track after dazzling track of creative, fine-tuned production that reveal the range in which the duo feel comfortable producing. In addition to the announcement of their forthcoming Time EP — out July 7th on PRMD — the duo recently released their single “Handful of Gold” featuring the talented London-based vocalist JONES. The track stands near the lighter side of the team’s extensive catalog, showing off their genre-blending expertise while still maintaining the powerful tone for which they have become known. Now, to highlight the accessible appeal of the track, rising artist Kyodee offers his take on the original to create a sophisticated, deep house number.
On his reproduction of “Handful of Gold,” Kyodee takes the reigns by carefully deconstructing the original, tampering with the tempo and accentuating JONES’ vocal effects. Adding in a bass-centric undertone and brassy percussion, the remix quickly evolves into a lurid, unrestrained house cut that is fit for any late-night soiree. Kyodee’s remix of the “Handful of Gold” is out this Friday, May 19th.
