Cedella Marley covers her father’s 1980 hit, ‘Could You Be Loved,’ with Savi and Bankay

There aren’t many better summer tracks then Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved,” and this summer we are lucky enough to get Cedella Marley’s fresh take on her father’s 1980 hit. Like her father, Cedella Marley is an accomplished singer, but she is also known for her dancing, fashion, and and acting.

Cedella’s version of “Could You Be Loved” merges the original reggae sound with a saxophone weaving in and out of the electronic pop elements creating an upbeat yet still distinctly tropical feel. Cedella collaborated with Savi and Bankay on her version of the song, which is as refreshing as it is catchy.

Listen to the Cedella’s 2017 take on her father’s release below.
