HYTE returns to NYC on July 2nd for Independence Day Weekend celebrations

HYTE returns to NYC on July 2nd for the second installment of Independence Day Weekend celebrations. After a legendary Brooklyn warehouse party in 2016, HYTE will be stationed in a never-before-used location on Governors Island this year. With panoramic views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, this isolated island provides the perfect sanctuary for a two stage, day and night event.

Stage 1 will host the techno superstar Richie Hawtin, house music legend Maceo Plex and Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann. Along with minimalist vibes by Rødhåd, the stage will also house veteran rhythm controller Matrixxmann, as well as previously acclaimed Russian military band singer, Julia Govor. Stage 2 will see the synthesis of Chris Liebing and Speedy J’s electronic music project, Collabs, along with sets from HYTE regular and Desolat boss Loco Dice. Up-and-comer Peggy Gou and additional local acts are set to perform as well.

Over the past several years HYTE has cemented itself as a global powerhouse, establishing a weekly residency at the world famous Amnesia Ibiza, as well as sold-out series in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Europe’s techno capital, Berlin. From the exemplary production of their events to the union between the crowd and DJ, it’s no secret that HYTE has managed to bring people across the world closer together with all things rhythm and dance.
