KSHMR experiments with Goa sounds in new free download, ‘Strange Lands’

Item Image

KSHMR has fashioned an anthemic festival piece that draws inspiration from his ancestral roots. The former Cataracs proponent-turned-EDM titan drops off a brand new offering, titled “Strange Lands,” polished with Bollywood-esque sample selections and ethnocentric instrumentation. The most fascinating bit of KSHMR’s latest however, comes in the second half of the tune, where he masterfully experiments with psy-trance elements, utilizing traditional running bass-line and swift, impactful kicks. “Strange Lands” is indeed a bit of a departure for the “Back To Me” producer, yet perfect for the main stage nonetheless considering the track’s crafty play on big room sounds.

Things have been heating up for KSHMR as of late. In addition to a heavy tour schedule, he’s also due to drop his brand new and highly sought-after collaboration with Tiësto on June 16.
