RAC ‘s new album, ‘EGO,’ will arrive July 14

Grammy award winner André Allen Anjos, better known as RAC, has announced the upcoming release of his new album, EGO, which will be out July 14.

The LP’s track list features 14 songs, with some huge collaborations with artists like Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, K Flay, and Scavenger Hunt. Anjos has already released several songs off of EGO, including “I Still Wanna Know” with Cuomo and “This Song” with Rostam, but its majority is comprised of unreleased music.

Though he’s done more than 200 remixes over the years for various artists, the album will be RAC’s’ first since Strangers in 2014.

“This album is a lot of things to me,” Anjos said in a Facebook post on May 17. “A lot of good and bad things happened after Strangers and this was my way of processing it. It’s quite personal and done mostly through in-person writing sessions. I think it’s the most honest work I’ve done so far.”

The artist also noted that the album is exactly 60 minutes long and is meant to be listened to as a continuous piece of music, “preferably in one sitting.”
