Skrillex easily has a more expansive catalogue of collaborators than any other popular producer in the modern era. Indeed, in the past year, Sonny Moore has offered more productions for other artists than for his solo project. After notably producing the entirety of Incubus’ April album, 8, and putting out a rare collaboration with Habstrakt, Skrillex’s newest collaborator has revealed himself.
In a Facebook post this weekend, G-Eazy posted a photo of himself in the studio with the OWSLA label-head. The rapper captioned the post by saying, “Labbed up with my brother Skrillex last night…great times, great vibes, great music. Album otw.” It’s currently unclear whether G-Eazy’s announcement of a forthcoming album entails that Skrillex will produce the LP in full, as he did with 8, or if he will feature on a solitary track. However the collaboration will take form, it will mark the rapper’s third foray into the dance music sphere this year, after recent outputs with Dillon Francis and Carnage.
