Seven Lions continues to diversify his sound on ‘Where I Won’t Be Found’ EP
Up to this point, Jeff Montalvo has been largely credited with paving the way for melodic dubstep. Today, June 26, melodic dub-pioneer Seven Lions is back with a new EP, titled Where I Won’t Be Found. Out now on Seeking Blue, the eight-track project signals a feverishly melodic, yet refreshingly new and experimental direction for Montalvo.
The leading single off the album, “Freesol,” featuring the soaring vocals of Skyler Stonestreet, stands out as Seven Lions’s defining sound stamp until this point. The EP then proceeds to branch out into so many different directions that one is left hanging onto Jeff’s every sonic turn. Standout tracks on the album include the anthemic alternative track “Slow Dive,” bouncy downtempo ballad “Without You My Love,” featuring Rico & Miello, and the trance-driven production, “Steps of Deep Slumber.”
