Stream GLD’s heavy new Fool’s Gold EP, ‘au_79’
Underground bass music producers GLD have been making waves over the past two years, releasing a steady stream of remixes and singles on their Soundcloud. The duo have now returned to Fool’s Gold Records to release their first official EP, au_79.
Named after the periodic table’s symbol for gold, the EP features a series of four bass-heavy and genre blending tracks that make for an explosive project. The first song, “crimez_,” begins with a metal inspired buildup before dropping into madness. GLD brings out past collaborator and Fool’s Gold label-mate Dapp for an energetic, bass-heavy second track. The EP concludes with two solo endeavors, neither of which would feel out of place on an OWSLA release. With hints of future bass, trap, dubstep and more, GLD solidify themselves as innovative newcomers to the bass music scene.
