Exclusive: um.. x yunis – kibbles n bitches (Original Mix)

LA bass duo, um.., have been consistently building a strong reputation in the experimental bass realm for their off-center sound design and innovative arrangements. The pair have developed a deep-rooted following in the wake of other experimental acts like Bleep Bloop and G Jones.

After releasing their latest single “management made us do it,” um.. announced via Facebook the upcoming release of their collaboration EP, a dogs tale, on Thursday, August 3rd. The EP features tracks with fellow bass rising stars Yheti, sumthin sumthin, and yunis.

To launch the EP, um.. have given Dancing Astronaut an exclusive stream of the lead single in conjunction with yunis titled “kibbles n bitches.” A strong start to the body of work, “kibbles n bitches” is built on a foundation of thumping kicks and booming 808s while the production team craft a screeching synth melody that runs atop. For those who have followed both um.. and yunis, each project’s sound can be distinctly heard and meld seamlessly.
