While the producer’s stylized sample work is still eminently present, instead of opting for a disco feel — as he had for his turn on our AXIS mix series — Flamingosis opts to lean all the way into a backbeat that is almost impossibly smooth. A rumbling bass churns down below while a collection of horn, vocal, and chunky guitar samples give the track its confident, languid energy.
