Mura Masa offers ‘Second 2 None’ ahead of debut album
Quickly approaching the July 14 release date of his debut album, eclectic electronic wunderkind Mura Masa has rolled out yet another single off the project in a galvanizing fashion. Following a string of tastes from the record including a lauded “Love$ick,” as well as “All Around the World,” and “Blu”, all of which have enjoyed considerable success, the Guernsey-bred beat maker remains consistent in his diversified production prowess in correlation with his star-studded roster of collaborators.
Mura Masa’s newest piece, “Second 2 None” features French artist Christine & The Queens, and holds the similar lamenting, gripping qualities of the producer’s evolving soundscapes. Laying down a foundation of textured beats and fluty synths, “Second 2 None” provides an emotive palate of syncopated vocal samples, tempered percussion, and lustful energy — simultaneously loaded with winsome danceability.
