Trailer for ‘What Would Diplo Do?’ released

Airhorns. Lots of airhorns.

After months of teasing the concept, the official trailer for upcoming Viceland series What Would Diplo Do? has hit YouTube.

The six-episode series is being produced by James Van Der Beek (who plays Diplo in the show) and Diplo himself. It will premiere on Viceland at 10 p.m. on Aug. 3.

The show aims to showcase a fictional take on Diplo’s life, and though it’s scripted, will leave room for improv. Van Der Beek told Deadline the show “doesn’t take itself too serious but it’s not cynical.”

What Would Diplo Do stems from an online concert promo for Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party, which aired last summer.

In the short trailer, we see “Diplo” DJing, in the studio, running nude down a hotel hallway and getting snarky looks from Dillon Francis, who also appears in the show. We’re in for a wild ride with this one.
