From singing songs about his daughter to providing support to his hometown of Chicago, Chance the Rapper is an artist who quite obviously values the relationships in his life. Keeping it in the family this time, Chance has enlisted his brother, Taylor Bennett, and longtime friends and collaborators The Social Experiment for his latest offering.

In a time where popular hip hop production is an increasingly digital art form, Chance the Rapper and his friends take a step back with this soulful jam. Sparing a few piano keys and pieces of percussion, “Gimmie A Call” is performed almost completely a capella. Chance the Rapper’s friendly vocals welcome the listener into the track as the voices of The Social Experiment begin to form around his warm and unmistakable croon. The song drops to just a beat-box as Taylor Bennett lays down his inspired verse, before the Social Experiment close out the track with a calming outro.
