Premiere: Tale Of Us & Vaal – Monument (Adriatique Remix)

Tale Of Us and Vaal put together a destructive body of work in their Monument EP, with the opening title track making its rounds through other accomplished peers’ sets during the Summer season. Having built up anticipation for months over this dynamic release, set for September 1, the Afterlife leading duo have also announced a talented batch of remixers which to date include Stephan Bodzin and Barnt.

Adriatique have now been unveiled as a third, surprise contribution to the remix pool, and the Swiss outfit has risen to the challenge beautifully. They went to work on the subtleties of the original, maintaining its eerie vocals and impactful atmosphere while building an entirely new foundation underneath. They first upped the pitch of “Monument’s” signature arpeggios, creating a heightened tense feeling as they proceeded to weave these newly-fashioned progressions into a percussive underlay to add a hint of exoticism to the finished product. Adriatique’s truly follow a hypnotic route in their interpretation, keeping their listeners gripped as the piece rolls through to finish.
