Tom & Collins deliver deep house inspired remix of “Real Life”

Duke Dumont and Gorgon City are a match made in house music heaven, their single, “Real Life,” a testament to their synergy as a collaborative force.

Since its release earlier this month, Real Life has attracted remixes from a variety of artists, including Dillon Francis and Murdock. Universal Music’s Tom & Collins have now debuted their own take on the house gem, with “Real Life” landing directly in the duo’s wheelhouse.

Tom & Collins’ re-imagination of the Duke Dumont and Gorgon City pairing plunges the tune slightly deeper than the original, a nod to the Mexican duo’s deep house association. The Tom & Collins remix explores the impact of a slower tempo and minimized piano role, alterations that result in a remix of Real Life that is ultimately almost too good to be “real.”
