Grime God Skepta just dropped some serious knowledge on the skeptics in his brand new video for “Hypocrisy.”
Unleashing the fiery single just last month via a SoundCloud surprise, the “Hypocrisy” visuals find the rapper amongst a slew of women in black sporting wigs, men in white, and the rapper spewing fashion-reference bars over a retro karaoke set. After receiving some internet hate for his fashion industry involvement earlier this year, “Hypocrisy,” has been dubbed the artist’s response to the haters.
“Just came back from the Ivors / And look at what we collected / The MBE got rejected / I’m not trying to be accepted,” Skepta says. Later rapping, “They try to disrespect me / When they’re online especially / But everything cool when they check me / Because I’m so cool and deadly.”
Stay tuned for more from the artist as he’ll likely be tapped by more limelight rap artists like Drake, again, moving forward.
