Avicii – Levels (Luca Lush Lift)

Love it or hate it, Avicii‘s “Levels” is one of the most easily recognizable songs in the electronic music game. When it was released in October 2011, the track topped charts worldwide, including in the United States and all over Europe. Since then, DJs have continued to incorporate the iconic song into their sets in every way imaginable — and fans still embrace it.

One such example is versatile producer Luca Lush‘s “lift” of the song. Lush has been dropping his rendition of the classic Avicii song in sets recently and decided to give his flip away for free. Though Lush’s rework is miles away from the original, it’s still identifiable by the iconic melody popping up periodically in the background. Aside from that, though, his “Levels” rendition is a style all of his own. With a borderline moombahton beat and grinding synths, Lush revives the oft-overplayed track and gives it new life. The bouncing bass and subtle melody — along with wonderfully random soundbites from Nintendo’s Mario — give this revival a surefire kick.
