Watch Chance The Rapper debut beautiful new music on ‘The Late Show’ with Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert is a big Chance The Rapper fan, and rightfully so. The Chicago activist has joined the television host at the Emmy Awards in 2017, performed a triumphant “Show Me Love” with Skrillex and Hundred Waters, as well as the debut of his Coloring Book hit single “Angels” on The Late Show. For his latest appearance on the show, Chano delivered a brand new, yet to be named piece alongside Canadian R&B standout Daniel Caesar.

In the same spirit as poetic pieces like his “Blessings” reprise and “The Other Side,” Chance gently crooned three new verses into the microphone, premiering an uplifting number marked by his characteristically nimble, inventive lyrical hopskotch. Chance admits to Colbert that the tune was written in a matter of days, also revealing that he’s been spending time in the studio at work on, “cooking up some yammers.”

This year has found Chance in the studio with Anderson .Paak, Future, and a rumored mixtape with Donald Glover might even be in the works too. Tempered with sweet new hymns like this, and Chance may have another Grammy-bound record on the way.
